Welcome to the Eastwood Volunteer Bureau

Eastwood Volunteer Bureau, (EVB), is a local charity, who recruit volunteers for our Transport and Befriending Schemes.

EVB provides:

  • Community Transport -Volunteer drivers use their own cars to take people who cannot use public transport to the shops, doctors, lunch clubs etc.
  • Befriending - Volunteers visit older people who are on their own or read to people with a visual impairment.
  • Personal Shopping - Volunteers will shop for you if you are unable to shop for yourself.
  • Food Bank - A food parcel service for local residents in need (based on qualifying criteria).
  • A quarterly newssheet is produced and distributed free of charge to local organisations and EVB's volunteers.
  • Training courses can be arranged for volunteers, management committee and local groups.

EVB is keen to hear from anyone living in the area who has some spare time and would like to find out the opportunities available.
