About Eastwood Volunteer Bureau

Eastwood Volunteer Bureau, (EVB), is a local charity, who recruit volunteers for Transport and Befriending Schemes.  

Services EVB provides:

  • Volunteer drivers use their own cars to take people who can't use public transport to the shops, doctors, lunch clubs etc.
  • Other volunteers visit older people who are on their own or read to people with a visual impairment.
  • Volunteers are able to shop for people unable to shop for
  • A food parcel service for local residents (qualifying criteria apply).
  • Relevant training courses are arranged for volunteers and management committee members of local groups.
  • We have an Annual Open Day in June to celebrate Volunteers Week.
  • An Annual Christmas Market every November, everyone welcome.
  • Coffee 'n' Crafts every Thursday 10 - 12noon.
