Eastwood Volunteer Bureau, (EVB) offers a wide variety of services to
the local community. If you wish to take advantage of any of

Voluntary
Car Scheme
This voluntary transport scheme is for the people of the North Broxtowe
area who are unable to use buses. If you need occasional or
regular transport to doctors, dentists, friends or shopping please
contact the EVB transport department on 01773 537892.
All our drivers are volunteers, using their own vehicles and are only paid expenses to cover their running costs.
Furniture Scheme
Once a fortnight, Eastwood Volunteer Bureau (EVB), collects unwanted furniture and gives it out to people on a low income who are unable to buy their own.
We can collect and deliver from anywhere in the North Broxtowe area (Eastwood, Newthorpe, Giltbrook, Awsworth, Cossall, Nuthall, Watnall, Kimberley and Brinsley). Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service outside this area.
Befriending Scheme
Eastwood Volunteer Bureau Befriending S is greatly valued by both Befrienders (visitors) and Befriendees. Our volunteers visit people in their own homes to offer company, conversation and in one case, a game of chess! The visits take place regularly, most either weekly or fortnightly.
Meeting rooms for hire
We
have two meeting rooms for hire at very reasonable rates. If you
are a group, society or even small company who needs a meeting room
then please contact the EVB. Cost of hire includes tea and coffee
facilities and rooms can be hired individually or together.
Photocopying, printing and laminating service
Do you have a CV that needs printed? A document that needs copying? A bus pass that needs laminating? Contact the EVB for competitive rates on all these services.
